Reporting
Reporting and writing is the essence of journalism. Conveying information in a concise and interesting way is imperative for spreading awareness about the people, animals, flora, civilizations and accomplishments of Earth. Although I spend the majority of my time image-making in order to convey the essence of humanity, its message and impactfulness would be lost without an article, research, or caption to accompany it.
Sewing New York Fashion into Detroit was my first feature outside of the school in which I would be in a room full of strangers. In this feature I wanted to properly convey the essence of the fashion show and the amount of work that went into it. Therefore I went up to at least 10 different people and interviewed them. From models, to audience members, to even the head curator herself, Maria Kaftan, I created a diversified range of sources that I felt helped make this story come to life in both writing and the captions.

'AI encapsulates school work, but never human spirit'
In this story regarding AI and how it could affect colleges I found myself heavily researching the topic and its effects as much as possible. I wanted to emphasize the complex utilizations of AI and have meaningful conversations with my sources. I found myself learning intricacies and cases about AI that I would have never learned before if I did not challenge myself to write this article. I believe it stands as a testament to my dedication to journalism and I am proud to call almost every aspect of this article my own, from the writing to the graphic.
'The Fabelmans enchant viewers with its story and artistry'
Writing an over 1000 word review about The Fabelmans movie was something unexpected but powerful. After originally watching the movie, I was touched by its message as an artist myself. Passion is beautiful but it is also all-consuming and that message is conveyed meaningfully. I wanted to share my love for this movie with others in the best way possible, by writing an article. Not only was it a way to spread my joy, but it was a way to communicate with the student body. Writing this article encouraged me to continue spreading news and information to our school community.
