About Me.
I'm a photojournalist who loves anything and everything creative. My interest in graphic, photography and web design have led me to become the 2021-2022 Supervising Photographer and the 2022-2023 Associate Web Editor in Chief for the Grosse Pointe South Tower Newspaper. Outside of Journalism, I have taken three years of photography classes, I am a part of the Student Council, Captain of the JV Tennis team, photographer for the Girls Swim and Dive Team and a camp counselor at Black River Farm and Ranch.
Awards and Scholarships
From the Scholastic Art and Writing Association, I have earned a gold key and two silver keys for my photography entries. As for photojournalism, I have won five awards in the photography category during the MIPA competition. Also from MIPA, I was given the Sparty Award for the ‘Shoot Like a Pro’ and the Award of Excellence ‘Beyond the Basics’ 2021 summer camp programs.
I held membership status of three national societies; National Honors Society, National Art Honors Society and Sociedad Honoraria Híspanica.
I have also been awarded the 2022-2023 Lakeshore Optimist Club Memorial Scholarship, the 2022 Super-Star Photographer Grant by the Portrait Place and the Stewart Fine Portraits Award for not only my dedication to photography, but my dedication to the community.

I have also had my images featured in the Grosse Pointe News and the organization has made me the 'Pointer of Interest'. The 'Pointer of Interest' is a feature about a Grosse Pointe citizen and how they have either impacted the community or have accomplished something outstanding.
Because of this, I am very thankful for their outreach to high schoolers and dedication to covering events that matter to the public.
