As a relevant news story, the word of an organized protest sent myself and my future co-editor to cover it. My co-editor gathered interviews and information while I worked on photographing the protest. I mainly focused on the heart and passion that arose in the students, making their facial expressions the focus. There were many supporters, many who side-eyed the protest, but nonetheless, because of me and my co-editor quick work this photo-story was published quickly and was able to communicate how the student body desired change and was influential in our small community.
