With the Tower being formatted as a news magazine, these two images served as the cover coinciding with the topic of gun violence. The Oxford shooting tragedy had recently occurred and had heavily affected many, so I wanted to emphasize the human relations present in such a situation. The text conversation is the focal point, establishing how loss is the central theme but the background also reveals a student cowering in yellow and a teacher barricading the door. Although a terrifying concept for a cover, I believe the message I wanted to convey was meaningful and impactful to the viewer.
