During my time in New York, I had the pleasure of attending the Pride Parade. During my time in New York, I had the pleasure of attending the 2022 Pride Parade. The spectators of the parade stretched on for miles and I even stood on a potted plant to get a view. People looked out from windows, confetti colored the skies and the streets were filled with cheers and community was abound. To me, pride is about the people therefore my images are meant to capture the spirit, unity and excitement of the parade. I especially focused on the joy in people’s faces and pride in their eyes while photographing this event.
